Nobuo Ishimori graduated from Tokyo Higher Normal School (1933).
Nobuo Ishimori taught successively at Seisho Middle School of Aichi Prefecture and Kagawa Prefectural Normal School. As member of Publication Bureau of Education Ministry participated in compilation of state textbooks (from 1939). Worked after the war as leader in teaching of Japanese language. Following retirement from Government service (1950) became professor of Showa Women’s University. Among his works of juvenile literature are a children's novel Sakidasu Shonengun (Children Coming to Bloom) which was awarded the Shincho Prize.
