Editor Morning Star, Boston, 1901-1911. An editor the Watchman, October 1, 1911.

Was president city council, Dover, 3 years. Member New Hampshire (U.S.) House of Representatives, 1877-1879 (Chairman of Commission State Normal School).

Trustee Hillsdale College and Bates College.
