Grigoriy Grigorievich participated in the Soviet-Finnish War (1939-1940) and the Great Patriotic War. He was a company commander of the 45th Guards Tank Regiment (3rd guards mechanized corps, 3rd Belorussian Front). He distinguished himself in the battle for Krasnoe village (Molodechno District, Minsk Region) on July 2, 1944. He was a retired colonel since 1964. He lived in Voronezh, worked as an engineer at various factories of the city.
