Grigory Filippovich graduated from the public literary department of the Kazakhstan State Pedagogical Institute in Nur-Sultan in 1934. In 1941 he graduated from the All-Army Newspaper Courses.
Grigory Filippovich was a deputy editor of the newspaper "Pioneer of Kazakhstan" in 1933-1934. He was the head of the regimental library in the army. In 1941-1945, he was the correspondent, head of the information department in 1945-1949, deputy editor of the newspaper "Krasnoarmeyskaya Pravda". Grigory Filippovich was an editor of the district newspapers "Soviet Warrior" (Novosibirsk, 1949-1951), "At a military post" (Chita, 1952-1959), "Banner of the Motherland" (Voronezh, 1959-1961).
