Career
After graduating from Tokyo University Hachiya Ishida entered the service of Mitsubishi Co., and was sent to Germany by them for further studies. Upon return was in turn, engineer to Imperial Estates Bureau, professor of Tokyo University, director of Osaka Refinery, branch manager for Mitsubishi in Osaka and then director of the concern.
