In the Summer Campaign of Osaka (1615), he led his forces across Mt. Ikoma and took Koriyama but was defeated by the counter attacking forces of Takahisa Todo and Sliigemasa Matsukura. He fled back and was defeated again by the forces of Kaga at Tenndji. After Osaka Castle fell, he fled with Kunimatsumaru, Hideyori's son. When he came to Uji, he was killed by peasants of the district.
