Career
In 660, defeated the Mishihase in "Watarishima" at the request of the native inhabitants. In 661, he led an expedition to the Korean peninsula to help the allied kingdom of Baekje in the Battle of Baekgang. Abe no Hirafu might be the ancestor of one or more of the Abe clans, as well as the Ando and Akita clans.
