Hirosaburo Takenouchi was born in 1891.
He graduated of the Tokyo Higher Normal School (1919).
He taught for awhile at the Iida Middle School in Nagano Prefecture and later at the Kyoto Normal School, where he became a school inspector and director of the Osaka Society for Physical Culture.
At the Third and Fourth series of Far Eastern Games he took active part in field events. Was appointed manager for the Japanese team (1928) at the Ninth Olympic Games at Amsterdam.
Later he became a member of the committee for arrangements of the Japanese participation in the 1932 Olympics to be held in Los Angeles, but died one year before the event.
