Career
He was a professor of statistics at George Washington University for 39 years, and also obtained his Doctor of Philosophy there in 1964 under the supervision of Solomon Kullback. A memorial session in his honour was held at the Joint Statistical Meetings in August 2009 in Washington, District of Columbia
