Hüseyin studied at Bosphorus University in Istanbul, Turkey. In 1976 he received a degree of the Bachelor of Science. In a year he was a student of the Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, United States. He became a Master of Science. In 1981 Hüseyin received a degree of the Doctor of Philosophy.
Career
Hüseyin worked as a research assistant at Northwestern University from 1977 to 1981. He became an Assistant Professor at the Istanbul Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey from 1981 to 1988. In this year he worked as an Associate Professor at the Istanbul Technical University in Istanbul, Turkey/ he held this position seven years. From 1995 to 2018 Hüseyin was a Professor at the Istanbul Technical University. From October 2019 to present, he is a Visiting Scholar at the University of Texas at Austin. During 2006-2008, he was a visiting professor at Northwest University, Potchefstroom, South Africa.
