Education
He studied at the Kuibyshev State Pedagogical Institute, the department of the Russian language and literature of the Faculty of History and Philology.
Career
Lecturer of the Russian language and literature in the Kuibyshev region (1955-1957), inspector of the city department of public education, director of school No. 4, boarding school in Voronezh (1957-1980). He was engaged in the history of the Voronezh culture of the XIX-XX centuries.
Author of books published in Voronezh: "Podgorenskiy Krai: From the most ancient times to the beginning of the First World War" (1994), "The Light of Extinct Stars" (1999, 2000), "A Tale of Lovers" (2003), "Close to the Heart" (2005) , "The Past" (2007, 2008).
Since 1996, Kessler led the Voronezh Radio program "Time and People" about outstanding cultural figures associated with the Voronezh region. He published a lot of materials on cultural issues in the Voronezh press.
