Ishikawa Ken was born in 1891.
After graduating from Tokyo Higher Normal School (1920) continued his studies in Europe and America for three years.
Returning home was in turn professor at Hosei University and then at Ochanomizu Women's University. Is an authority on education in Japan. Ishikawa Ken was awarded the Academy Prize for his research on educational text books (1950). Among his works are "The Modern Japanese Social Society" and "Development of Views of Japanese Children."
