After graduation from seven classes, he worked as a tractor driver.
In 1938, Molokov was drafted to serve in the Red Army. Participated in the Soviet-Finnish war. Since June 1941 - on the fronts of the Great Patriotic War. In 1943, Molokov graduated from the Saratov Tank School.
By April 1944, Guard Senior Lieutenant Ivan Molokov commanded a platoon of medium tanks of the 22nd Guards Independent Tank Regiment of the 51st Army of the 4th Ukrainian Front. Distinguished himself during the liberation of the Crimea. April 8-10, 1944 Molokov participated in the breakthrough of the three German defense lines in the vicinity of the village of Karanki (located on the territory of the Dzhankoysky district). Molkov's platoon first broke into the village of Tomashovka of the same district, inflicting heavy losses on the enemy. In that battle Molokov was shell-shocked, but continued to fight.
After the war, Molokov continued his service in the Soviet Army. In 1945 he graduated from the Leningrad Military Officer School, in 1954 - the Leningrad Higher Armored School. In 1958, in the rank of Colonel Molokov was dismissed to the reserve. He lived in the Belarusian city of Grodno, worked in the city executive committee. He died on October 18, 1977.
