James Nielson

Background

James Nielson was born on April 23, 1958 in Bellingham, Washington, United States. Son of Joseph Roberts and Shirley Nielson, whose maiden name was Bartell and present surname is Andrues.

Education

He graduated from the University of Washington, Seattle with a Bachelor of Arts in 1984. Then Nielson received from McGill University his Master of Arts in 1986 and Doctor of Philosophy in 1991.

Career

Nielson began his career as a lecturer in English at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec from 1989 until 1992. Then he lectured at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver from 1992 to 1995. Besides, he was a translator at the University of Michigan Press in 1994-1995 and was a proofreader at Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery in 1995.

Since 1995 he was web consultant and researcher, HTML author, and internet programmer at MediaLinx Interactive, Toronto, Ontario.
