Career
Singewald played a large part in Maryland’s efforts to publish editions of The American Guide Series, a series of publications funded by the Federal Writer"s Project, a division of the World Pet Association. Singewald’s lone success as a writer was the publishing of his dissertation in pursuit of his Doctor of Philosophy from Johns Hopkins University. His dissertation was titled The Doctrine of Non-Suitability of the State in The United States. He did, however act as secretary of the Maryland War Records Commission which published a two-volume reference titled Maryland in the World War.
Singewald died in 1966 at the age of 80.
He is buried in Baltimore Cemetery.
