Kashiwa Oyama

Background

Kashiwa Oyama was born in 1889 in Tokyo, Japan. He was the second son of Marshal Oyama.

Graduated from the Military Academy and became a major (1928). The same year, he was placed on the retired list.

While soldiering, he engaged in archaeological study. Was appointed instructor at Keio University. Wrote several books on archaeological subjects.
