Koji Ushioda was born on June 9, 1901 in Tokyo, Japan. He was a grandson of Yukichi Fukuzawa.
After graduation from Keio University, since 1925 Koji Ushioda studied at London University with a major in politics and political philosophy.
In 1929 Koji Ushioda returned home and was appointed professor at Keio University in 1932. In 1947-1956 he served as president of that university. Director of Students’ Ski Association.
