Kimberly Burke-Weiner chose the career of a teacher as her future profession at the age of four. She studied at the California State University. She obtained the Bachelor of Arts and the Master of Arts degrees at the institution. She also attended Indiana University.
Following her childhood dream, Kimberly Burke-Weiner began her career as a teacher in an elementary school in California in 1986. Later, she taught in Washington and Indiana.
It was Burke-Weiner’s husband who encouraged her to begin writing. The first book titled ‘The Maybe Garden’ appeared in 1992. It was followed by the next one called ‘Penny Wishes’.
