Kozeev Konstantin Mirovich was born on first of December in 1967 in Kaliningrad (now Korolev) of the Moscow Region, Russian Federation.
In 1983 Konstantin graduated from secondary school No. 5 in Kaliningrad, Moscow Region and start his education in cosmonautics.
After the service in the army Kozeev Konstantin worked as a speed skater in a sports club "Pennant" in the city of Kaliningrad and then he worked in NPO Energia, first as a technician, and after graduating from MATI as an engineer-technologist. He took part in the development of technical documentation for training and testing in conditions of hydraulic weight, in a laboratory plane and on a dynamic test bench. Participated in the development of operations on the extra-ship activity of the ISS crews.
From June 3, 1996 to March 1998, he completed a course of general space training at the Cosmonaut Training Center named after Yu.A. Gagarin. On March 18, 1998 he passed all the exams and tests according to the OKP, but he was not awarded the qualification because he was declared temporarily unfit for special training by the decision of the Main Medical Commission (MMC). In September 1998, he received the permit of the MMC for special training, and on November 17, 1998, he was awarded the qualification "test cosmonaut" by decision of the Interdepartmental Qualification Commission (ICRC). In the same year he was appointed to the position of test cosmonaut of the 291st department of the State Security Committee of the RSC Energia. From October 1998 to August 2000 he was trained as a member of the cosmonauts group under the ISS program.
On August 28, 2000, he replaced S.Revin in the second ISS-T1 crew and, until April 2001, was trained as a flight engineer of the second crew of the first Russian expedition to the ISS (ISS-T1), together with V.Tokarev, and from January 2001 year - together with V. Afanasyev. During the liftoff of the Soyuz TM-32 spacecraft on April 28, 2001, was a backup of the ship's flight engineer. Since April 2001, he has been trained to fly as a flight engineer of the main crew of the Soyuz TM-33 spacecraft under the program of the 2nd Russian visiting crew of the ISS.
