Larisa Leonidovna graduated from the Voronezh Music School (1970, student of M.A. Zaichikov), The Gnessin State Musical College (1975, student of A.G. Chugayev). She became a Candidate of art history in 1990 and a Professor in 2001.
Since 1979, Larisa Leonidovna is a teacher at the Voronezh State Institute of Arts (now Voronezh State Academy of Arts). She wrote the following essays: "Fugue’s Evolution" (Moscow, 2001); "Pre-classical musical forms" (Voronezh, 2005, part 1); "Some demonstrations of compositional thinking in music of the Middle Ages and Renaissance" ("Acts of musical creativity", Moscow, 2005, issue 8); "Baroque: from Motet to Fugue" (Musical Academy, 2008, No.1).
