Lawrence J. Oliver

Lawrence Oliver was born on March 14, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, United States, into the family of Lawrence and Constance (Saba) Oliver.

Education

In 1971 Lawrence received Bachelor of Arts at King’s College. He continued his studying at Pennsylvania State University, where he earned Master of Arts in 1973 and Doctor of Philosophy in 1981.

Career

Lawrence spend the whole his career at the Texas A&M University, College Station, where he started as an assistant professor in 1984, and then became an associate professor of English. He holds that position till now. Since 1992 he is also an author and editor of books.

Achievements

• Lawrence Oliver is highly famous as the author of a book "Brander Matthews, Theodore Roosevelt, and the Politics of American Literature, 1880-1920", written in 1992.
