Lisa M. Cuklanz attended Duke University, and in 1985 got a Bachelor of Science degree. In 1988 she obtained a master's degree in the University of Iowa, where she also got a Doctor of Philosophy in 1991.
Dr. Lisa M. Cuklanz served as chair of the Communication Department at Boston College from 2007-2019. She has served as Visiting Fulbright Professor of Communication Studies at Hong Kong Baptist University, and as Harvard Law School Fellow in Law and Communication.
She is the author or editor of several books and numerous articles published in journals including "Critical Studies in Mass Communication," "Communication Quarterly," "Women's Studies in Communication," and "Communication Studies."
