Career
Marina Aleksandrovna worked as a translator at the Research Institute of Economics at Voronezh State University from 1970 to 1979. Since 1979, she has been working at the Samara State Pedagogical Institute (University): associate professor, professor, since 1985, head of the department of english philology.
Her research fields include translation theory, text interpretation, the specifics of English and American humor. She is the author of about 100 publications, including monographs "Linguistic and cultural research into humor (based on the English language)", Samara, 1999, 2004.
