Mark Thibodeaux attended Loyola University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 1993. Also, he graduated from the Weston Jesuit School of Theology. There Thibodeaux earned a Master of Divinity in 2000 and a Master of Theology in 2001.
Mark Thibodeaux was ordained a Roman Catholic priest of the Society of Jesus in 1988. He also served as a member of formation consultants for New Orleans Province from 1996 to 1997. In 1993 he joined Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas. There Thibodeaux worked as a teacher of theology and counselor until 1997. Since 2001, he is the director of a pastoral ministry and teacher of a theology of the Strake Jesuit College Preparatory. Furthermore, Thibodeaux became a member of the board of directors of the Company magazine in 2001. He is currently the pastor of Holy Name Church, a Jesuit parish in New Orleans.
