Martha Frances Lee was born on March 26, 1962, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was a daughter of Frank (Jean) Lee, and Margaret Lee.
She was a sister of Carol (Terry) O’Leary and David (Solange) Lee.
Martha Frances Lee received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Calgary in 1985, and her Master of Arts degree two years later.
Then, Lee pursued her studies at Syracuse University where she obtained her Ph. D. in Political Science in 1994.
Martha Frances Lee started her professional career in 1992 when she joined the professor’s staff of the University of Windsor as a lecturer. In a couple of years, she was named an assistant professor. Finally, due to her devotion and active involvement in academics, Lee became an associate professor of political science in 1996.
Martha Frances Lee authored four books, including ‘Conspiracy Rising: Conspiracy Thinking and American Public Life’, and contributed articles to different periodicals and anthologies such as ‘Riel to Reform: A History of Protest in Western Canada’, ‘Millennialism and Violence’, and ‘Millennium, Messiahs, and Mayhem’ among others.
