Masamori Taira lived around 1120. He was the son of Masahira.
Masamori Taira was appointed Lord of Tajima, Bizen and Sanuki. Destroyed Yoshichika Minamoto in Izumo Province (Shimane Prefecture) at the command of Emperor Toba (1108). He was granted the Junior Fourth Court Rank for capturing Naozumi Taira (1120). This was an exceptional promotion for a warrior in those days.
