Engaged with her husband in reform and relief work in connection with the Salavation Army, 1887-1896, and after leaving that movement, in the Volunteers of America, which he founded, 1896, and upon death of husband became commander-in-chief In charge of extensive prison work throughout United States.
Served with Young Men's Christian Association during World War in France and Germany. One of the founders of Parent-Teachers Association (honorary vice president since 1943).
Married Ballington Booth, September 16, 1886 (died October 5, 1940).
