Career
After ,graduating from Tokyo University (1889) became a specialist in pediatrics and was commissioned by the Ministry of Education to investigate and report on the sanitary system in schools. Later entered the Ministry of Education and was placed in charge of social hygiene in schools, while also acting as professor at Tokyo Higher Normal School (1896).
Was sent to Europe to study sanitation conditions in schools in 1903. Returning home in 1904, founded Mishima Hospital, but resigned from it shortly after to devote his time to improving school sanitation. The founder of the health system in schools.
