Shusuke Kamijo was born in Matsumoto City, Nagano Prefecture.
After graduating from Tokyo University (1919), Kamijo Shusuke was conferred a doctorate (1923).
Shusuke Kamijo founded the Showa Medical College (1928) which is now the Showa University of Medicine of which he was president since 1946. Shusuke Kamijo also president of Japan Hospitals Association.
