After the Great Patriotic War Mikhail Davydovich took various party political military positions. He was the Secretary of the Party Committee, the Head of the political department of Voronezh Military Aviation Technical School (1965-1975), Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Semiconductor Engineering (1976-1987). From 1991 he headed the Voronezh city council of the veterans of war, labor, armed forces and law enforcement bodies.
