Naotsugu was commonly called Danemon Ban. He served Yoshiaki Kato, then Masanori Fukushima, both retainers of Hideyoshi Toyotomi. Distinguished himself in Hideyoshi's expedition to Korea. He died in Osaka-jin, the battle between the Toyotomis and Tokugawas.
