He was an editor of the literary department of "Fashionable Light" (1872-1883). Editor of the magazine «Ogonyok» (1878-1886). Editor-publisher of the children's magazine «My Journal» (1885-1890), as well as other periodicals devoted to the problems of modern fashion. His stories and short stories were published in the "World illustration" and "Universal Calendar".
