Nikolai Petrovich taught church history, canon law and liturgics in Voronezh Theological Seminary (1861-1866). The author of works on the history of philosophy and pedagogy (work "Review of Philosophical Doctrines" was awarded the Makariev Prize and was approved by the Holy Synod as a textbook for theological seminaries). His works were Published in the Voronezh Diocesan Gazette.
