Nina Vladimirovna graduated from the State Institute of Theatre Art named after A.V. Lunacharsky (now Russian Academy of Theatre Arts) (1947, course G.G. Konsky). She began studying at the theatre workshop and learning from her future husband P.L. Monastyrsky.
In 1940-1943, Nina Vladimirovna was the actress of the Voronezh Drama Theatre, where she had played several roles, including Sophie ("Cunning and Love" by F. Schiller), Kitaev ("The Immortal" by A. Arbuzov and A. Gladkov). In 1947-1950 she worked at the Travelling Theatre at the All-Russian Theatre Society.
In 1950-1973 Nina Vladimirovna was the announcer of the Central Television, leading various television programs. In 1973-1987 she was a teacher at school of television announcers. In Voronezh she worked under the name of Rudnev.
