Vladislav Vasilyevich Shirchenko is a Russian actor and director. He is famous for roles in fairy-tale plays and for directing several fairy tales. Vladislav Vasilyevich is also one of the founders of the Voronezh poetry club "Arion" (late 1960s).

Career

Vladislav Vasilyevich Shirchenko's interest in theatre led him to Voronezh Drama Theater, where he has been working since 1964. He played roles in many fairy tale plays, such as Mitya ("Elephant" Alexander Kоpkov), Alyosha ("The Lower Depths" by Maxim Gorky), Cosme ("The Phantom Lady" Pedro Calderon), Švejk ("The Good Soldier Švejk" Jaroslav Hašek), Schwonder ("Heart of a Dog" Mikhail Bulgakov).

Vladislav Vasilyevich was the head of the poetry theater of Voronezh State University in the 1970s. In the 1970s and 1980s he directed several fairy tales. In the 1990s he directed A.V. Ivanov's productions ("Romantics" by Edmond Rostand).
