Ohiko- No-Mikoto was one of the Shido Shogun (four generals commanding Imperial expeditionary forces sent to as many areas including Hokuriku, Takai, Seikai and Tamba).
Ohiko-No-Mikoto was born in 90 (B.C.). He was the son of Emperor Kogen.
In 87 B.C. Emperor Sujin sent him to Hokuriku (northern part of central Japan) as commander of Imperial forces to subdue recalcitrants in that area. Prior to departure for Hokuriku, he reported to the Emperor that Yasuhiko Takehani was planning to rebel and attacked and defeated Yasuhiko's forces on the Wakara River (Kyoto Prefecture). His descendants lived and increased in provinces of Hokuriku and northern Japan.
