Due to a feud with Yoshitaka, son of his elder brother, Yoshioki, he went to Kyoto, where he assumed the name of Teruhiro having obtained permission to use part' of the name of Shogun YoshiJeru Ashikaga.
Later, he went to Bungo (Oita Prefecture) and was protected by Sorin Otomo. Urged by Sonn, he made an expedition to Suo Province, where he was defeated by Motoharu Kikkawa and committed suicide.
