Pavel Borisovich worked as a botanist-observer of the Kazan Agricultural Institute (1930), senior geobotanist and head of the geobotanical detachment in the Uralgoszemtrest (1932-1934). Then he was an assistant, associate professor (1942), head of the Department of Botany and Plant Physiology, Voronezh Forestry Institute (now Voronezh Forestry Institute) (1946-1975), deputy director (Vice Rector) of Voronezh Forestry Institute (1955-1963). After that, he worked as a head of the Museum of the Voronezh Forestry Institute (Voronezh State Forestry Academy - since 1993).
