In 1920, graduated from the Moscow Higher Pedagogical Courses. Short stories first published in 1917. After the arrest and execution of her husband, V. Pravdukhin, arrested herself as a ‘wife of an enemy of the people’.
In the Gulag, but survived. Released after Stalin’s death. Pravonarushiteli, 1922, and Tania, 1934.
Considered to be one of the most interesting new proletarian women writers in Soviet literature.
