Career
The commander of the platoon of the 124th Tank Regiment (52nd Army, 1st Ukrainian Front). Excelled in January 1945, when his platoon broke through the enemy's defense in the region of Khmelnik town (Poland). The platoon passed with fights more than 320 kilometers, the first went to the Oder River on the outskirts of the city of Breslau (now Wroclaw, Poland). Senior Lieutenant Goncharov was killed in these battles.
