Master of pure mathematics (1895), teacher of the real school and gymnasium in Kazan (1895-1898), professor of the department of pure mathematics at the University of Yuryev (1898-1918). Since 1918, Professor of the Department of Pure Mathematics of Voronezh State University.

Author of more than 20 papers on computational mathematics, geometry, the theory of a function of a complex variable, algebraic geometry, higher algebra. Compositions: On the geometric representation of elliptic integrals and functions (Edition of the Physico-Mathematical Society at Kazan University, 1894, No. 2-3), On the construction of curves of the third degree (Scientific notes of Kazan University, 1898, volume 4).
