Career
She was a teacher. Ruth was born in Germany to Jewish parents, Alfred and Therese Klee. The couple strictly observed religion. She gave birth to a daughter, Hanneli, on 12 November 1928.
In 1933, after Adolf Hitler came to power, Ruth and her family escaped to Amsterdam.
There they became close friends to the Franks. Ruth gave birth to another daughter, Gabi, in 1940.
Ruth was expecting another baby, in 1942. She died while giving birth to that baby and the baby was stillborn.
