S.T. Wen was government official and occupied different position in Chinese government.

Background

He was born in Tientsin, Chihli, China in 1878.

Education

S. T. Wen graduated from the Peiyang Naval College in 1898.

Career

After graduation S. T. Wen served for four years in the Navy as a lieutenant secretary for foreign affairs to the Viceroy of Liang-kwang. Then he worked as a secretary of foreign affairs to the Viceroy of Liang-Kiang from 1907 to 1910 and as a commissioner for foreign affairs for Chekiang from 1913 to 1916.

After that in 1916 S. T. Wen became a high diplomatic adviser to the Military Governor of Kiangsu (Li Shun). He then had positions of superintendent of customs and concurrently commissioner for foreign affairs in Nanking in 1920 and commissioner of foreign affairs and concurrently superintendent of customs in Shanghai in 1924. Then he retired.
