Sadamasa Uesugi

Background

Sadamasa Uesugi was born in 1443 in Japan.

Career

Distinguished himself in the battle while assisting Akisada Uesugi against Kageharu Nagao (1477). The following year entered Kawagoe Castle (Saitama Prefecture) under the protection of Ota Dokan. Later joined forces with Masauji Ashikaga to fight his former master Akisada Uesugi (1457) and grew in power. Sadamasa Uesugi later assassinated Ota Dokan, believing a false charge against him (1457). Died in the battle against Akisada, while fighting with Hojo Soun.
