Kokubo studied at the Hokkaido University, which he graduated from in 1911.
Career
Seiji Kokubo became assistant professor of the Fishery Department, Hokkaido University and received Sc.D. (1930). He served as professor of Tonoku University (1950) and Director of the Asamushi Marine Laboratory retiring in 1953. Seiji became professor emeritus of Tohoku University and professor of Nihon University. Author of "Planktolagy" and "Ocean Biology."
