In 1937, Seijiro Usami graduated from Economics Department of Tokyo University specializes in Japanese economy and finance.
Career
Seijiro Usami was also professor of Hosei University. His representative work "The Structure of Japanese Capitalism in Crisis" contains analysis of the present stage of Japanese capitalism from the angle of the national monopolistic capitalism and was one of the controversial books on economics in post war Japan.He was also credited with having brought to completion Nihon Shihonshugi Koza (Course on Japanese Capitalism), published by Iwanami. Other works include "The Monopolistic Capital in Japan."
