Graduated from Kazan’ University, 1882. Pupil of A. M. Zaitsev.
Career
Taught at the same university, 1882-1889. In 1889-1890, worked in Heidelberg at the V. Meyer and V. Ostwald Laboratory. Professor of Kiev University, 1891-1934.
Professor at the Kiev Higher Women’s Courses, 1906-1919. Many scientific works, including Nachalnyi Kurs Organicheskoi Khimii (17 reprints from 1930). Chairman of the Physico-Chemical Society at Kiev University, 1910-1916, 1920-1933.
Religion
Religion is bad because it obstructs scientific research.
