Valery Alekseevich Trufakin graduated from the Blagoveshchensk State Medical Institute.
Valery Alekseevich worked as an assistant, assistant professor of the histology department of the Blagoveshchensk Medical Institute (1962-1969). From 1970 till 1981 he occupied the post of academic secretary, supervised the immunomorphology laboratory of the Clinical and Experimental Medicine Institute of the Siberian branch of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences. From 1981 till 1987 Valery Alekseevich Trufakin was the head of the immunomorphology laboratory of the Clinical Immunology Institute of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences, then was a deputy chairman of the presidium of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (the Siberian branch) (1987- 1989). From 1989 till the present time V.A.Trufakin has been heading the presidium of the SB of the RAMS. From 1991 till the present time - the head of the immunomorphological laboratory of the Institute of Clinical and Experimental Lymphology of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences, chairman of the SB of the RAMS. From 1993 till the present time V.A. Trufakin is the director of the Physiology Institute of the SB of the RAMS.
In 1986 Valery Alekseevich Trufakin was elected as a corresponding member of the Academy of the USSR Medical Sciences , and in 1991 - a full member of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences (now RAMS). Member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences (1995), International Academy of Ecology and Nature Management, International Informatization Academy, International Academy of Sciences (physiological section), member of the societies of physiologists, immunologists, morphologists, lymphologists.
