In High School, Sergey Semyonov was studying in secondary school no. 713 in Moscow. In 1961-1963, in grades 9 to 11, there’s the issue of the future profession. He graduated from secondary school with a Gold Medal. After graduating, he chose the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). His focus was on the Faculty of Engineering and Economics. I went there, to the Faculty of Economics and Organization of Production of Aircraft.
Student construction brigades became a special school for S. Semyonov, as well as for tens of thousands of his contemporaries. Firstly was Kazakhstan (in 1964), where he was an ordinary fighter.
In 1965, Sergey Semyonov, find out that the MAI was leaving for the construction of the Abakan-Taishet highway. He had already passed the exam session and through the whole country went to the Tayshet taiga. Then he went to Kazakhstan again as commander of a linear student detachment (LSD) of 50 fighters.
IIn 1968, Sergey Mikhailovich defended his diploma project. Then, he received allocation to the Department of Organization and Planning of Aircraft Production. Immediately Sergey Mikhailovich was included in the scientific work and teaching process. He was elected as a secretary of the Leninist Communist Youth League (LCYL) of the permanent faculty. In 1969 he was selected to the CPSU. In summer, he worked as the Chief Engineer of the Student Construction Brigade (SCB) in the Krasnoyarsk Territory (KrasnoyarskyKrai), near town Shushenskoe, at the Lenin’ state farm. Then, from 1970 to 1973, Sergey Mikhailovich successively worked every year in Moscow region as a commander of a linear student detachment. Later he worked as commander of a district and zonal headquarters.
In 1976, Sergey Mikhailovich Semyonov defended his PhD thesis on Economics. One year later, he received an academic degree of Associate Professor. From 1977 to 1979, for three years he became secretary of the LCYL of the faculty.
In 1979, Sergey Mikhailovich designated as the First Deputy Dean, Faculty of Economics and Organization of Aircraft Production of MAI. In 1979-1984, S.M. Semyonov was a member of the Specialized Council for the Defense of Doctoral and Candidate Dissertations.
In 1980, due to the 50th anniversary of the MAI, he awarded the medal "For Labor Distinction". In the spring of 1984, Sergey Mikhailovich was invited to the Economic Department of the CPSU Central Committee. He received a proposal for become Deputy Chief Editor of the journal "Socialist Labor". In 1985, S.M. Semyonov designated as Chief Editor.
In 1989 S.M. Semyonov leaved of the CPSU. In June - July 1989, he went to congresses in Belgium and France.
The 1990 became one of the key moments in the life of Sergey Mikhailovich Semyonov. In this year he was a chairman of the Organizing Committee on the part of Russia in cultural and political conference "Russian Ball Night". His main tasks were preparation and holding of this event. In the preparation process for the conference, S.M. Semyonov created the company "Megapolis-Tacom" (specialized on teleaudiocommunication), which took over the entire organizational work of it. During 1990, the company "Megapolis-Takom" organized an exclusive television filming of the trip of B.N. Yeltsin,the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the RSFSR in the Russian Federation. This filming, literally, stirred up the whole country at the time.
In 1991, Sergey Mikhailovich Semyonov and his colleagues were planning to hold competitions "Miss USSR" and "Miss Russia". For their organization, the "Zodiak-M" company was established.
Together with his business colleagues S.M. Semyonov established an international commercial and industrial house "Agora" (1991). He was a chairman of the Board of Directors. In 1992, the Bulgarian-Russian-French insurance and reinsurance company "Europe" was established, where S.M. Semyonov acts as the Founder and Vice-President.
In the period of 1991-1993, S.M. Semyonov was an initiator of the establishment of the International Business University on an independent Television Channel (in the future there’s TV-6 Channel). In 1991-1993, S.M. Semyonov published books of R.I. Khasbulatov "Bureaucratic state", "Russia it’s time to change" (Conversations on Krasnaya Presnya) and "Contemporary Russia". At the begin of 1992, S.M. Semyonov established the financial and industrial company "Sotross"(cooperation with Russia) with the support of the government. He was elected as General Director of the company.
In 1996, the International Union of Economists and the International Academy of Creativity establishes the International United Biographical Center as a public organization, and invite S.M. Semyonov to work as a president. In December of the same year, S.M. Semyonov was designed as General Director and Chief Editor of the International United Biographical Center. From the first days, S.M. Semyonov was a member of both organizations.
In June 1998, the first issue of the project "Who is who in the Modern World?" was published. It was the main project of S.M. Semyonov and his colleagues for the next 10 years.
