In 1941 he graduated from the Moscow Historical Archival Institute.
Sergey Glebov worked in archival administration in Kursk. He was a senior research officer of the Regional Archival Administration, an employee of the local history department in the regional library. Also Sergey collected information about the atrocities of the Nazis in the Voronezh Region. Since October 1945 he was the Head of Inter-library Loan Department in the regional library. Glebov was published in the magazine Archival Affairs, Librarian, and in local periodicals. In the almanac "Literary Voronezh" Glebov's articles "Ryleev's motives in the I.S. Nikitin’s works" "(1947, №1) and "A Legend and a true story"(1956, №1) are placed. Many of Glebov's works remained in manuscripts. The main Glebov’s work, universal in content regional card index (for about 45 000 alphabetized cards with extracts from various sources), is currently kept in the Nikitin Voronezh Regional Scientific Library. He is the author of the typewritten "Companion of the local historian from the Voronezh Region" (1947, volume 1-3).
